One of the main magazines of Rostov writing about culture in the city has released an article about my quartet. It's written in Russian, sorry, but the key feauture is that we were placed on the main page of their website:
It's a blues tune dedicated to my guitar teacher at Moscow State College of Jazz - Michael (Mukuch) Sudzhian, recorded live in the bar O.W.Grant on 14th of march 2021. When I was doing my second year at college I took part in a competition called "Many-faced Guitar". After passing into 3rd round I had to play a solo over blues. But the case was to grab a card with randomly written key, time signature and tempo. I've received a card with B major, 6/8, fast tempo. Of course, I screwed it up that time! But years go by, and now B major starting to be more comfortable key to play.
Following Jazzmashin - it's a piece of music dedicated to Russian jazz musician and a huge fan of running - Alexander Mashin. One day Sasha proposed to carry out into nothingness a terrible year of 2020 by running a marathon distance on 31st of December. Of course, I've immediatley jumped into that adventure! During the first half of a distance it was raining. Than a temperature fall bellow 0 degrees Celsius, and everything what wasn't covered with snow, was covered with ice. We were running through Moscow, and somewhere after 30th kilometer I was completely out of energy. It was incredibly difficult, and I dreamt to stop hundred times. But Sasha was running a couple of meters ahead, and following jazzmashin I finally finished the distance!
This is my author piece of music recorded live in the bar O.W.Grant on 14th of march 2021. On the bandstand with me:
